Kathmandu, Ashoj 5 (September 21) — Simon Ernst, the Australian Ambassador to Nepal, paid a courtesy call on Tribhuvan University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Bhola Thapa at the Vice-Chancellor's office in Kirtipur. During the meeting, Vice-Chancellor Thapa highlighted the university's push toward internationalization, exchange and collaboration between faculty and students, engagement in academic and research partnerships, and efforts to raise the university's overall quality standards.

Ambassador Ernst noted that around 60,000 Nepali students are currently studying in Australia, and expressed Australian universities' willingness to collaborate with Tribhuvan University in areas including academic partnerships, faculty and student exchange programs, climate change and human resource development, and water resource management.

The meeting was also attended by TU Registrar Dr. Rabindra Shivakoti, Dean of the Institute of Science and Technology Prof. Dr. Shankar Prasad Khanal, Dean of the Faculty of Management Prof. Dr. Mahananda Chalise, Executive Director of Centre for International Relation  Prof. Dr. Vishnu Prasad Pandey, and Admin Chief of the Vice-Chancellor's Office Dr. Renuka Basnet.
